In the Now #009 – Scott Orth Interview Highlights

Our Founder, Steve Rio, shares some of his personal highlights from his recent conversation with Scott Orth on the new podcast.

Here are his top four highlights:

  1. When things don’t go your way, look for the learning. It’s a powerful reframe that helps you see the opportunity in every challenge. If things always go your way, you don’t learn. You can’t evolve. It’s the adversity you experience in your life that makes you who you are.
  2. There is very little in life that is important enough to disrupt an important relationship. Scott was specifically talking about personal relationships, but I think this is such a relevant point as we interact more with people on the internet as well.
  3. Scott’s definition of success was the level of calm in his home. This is an amazing way to think about success. There is so much that goes into creating a calm home for you and your family.
  4. A calm mind is a creative mind. We can’t learn, grow or think deeply when we’re stressed out. This is why mindfulness is such an important aspect of performance.

The entire podcast was amazing. Listen now!
